I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation in support of MECO Constructors, LLC. MECO was contracted to build the infrastructure for a 40-unit townhouse development in the Borough of West Grove, PA. The infrastructure work was part of a Chester County Community Revitalization Program grant in the amount of $2,400,000 that included the installation of the sanitary sewer mains, water mains, stormwater pipes and stormwater management system along with the Erosion and Sediment controls to manage the stormwater runoff during the construction phase of the project.

After grading the road and parking areas they installed the conduits crossing the roads for electric, cable and communication service for each unit. Their work on the roadway/parking areas included the stabilization of poor subgrade soils and the crossing of a small stream. MECO fine graded the subgrade on the new road system, placed the aggregate subbase, concrete curb, bituminous base course and bituminous binder course. They also widened and reconstructed the two borough roads adjacent to the project.

In addition to the infrastructure MECO prepared the pad sites for each block of townhouses that will be built by Habitat for Humanity in partnership with hard-working families in need.

MECO completed the project in a timely period and professional manner, and it was a pleasure to work with Peter Ebert and his team. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (610) 384-7993, ext. 12 or via email.

“I am writing to provide an excellent recommendation for Meco Constructors for the outstanding work they have done and are performing at the Marlboro State Hospital demolition project. They are a very well organized and proficient company who strives to perform the work within the contract budget and time limits.

Meco Constructors is a professional company that prides themselves on the relationships they develop with the project team from the owner through the construction management personnel. The manager was on site everyday coordinating the success of this project. He and his company are true team players working out every detail and coordinating every part of the work to success. They have excellent relationships with their subcontractors, enabling them to control where and how the work progressed. Meco takes site safety very seriously, holding meetings once a week with daily tool box briefs. Meco’s equipment is all self-owned and is in very good working conditions. There was very little lost time as a result of mechanical issues. Their top-notch mechanics were always on site working to maintain and repair the equipment in a timely manner.”

“HSC would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to you and your company for your outstanding performance on the Widener Main Entrance project. A majority of the overall success of this project can be attributed to your dedication and willingness to do anything to ensure both Widener and HSC succeeded in the end. From the beginning, HSC recognized the challenges on this project; however, we felt confident that with the right subcontractors, we could accomplish our goals. Throughout the entire process, you worked together as a team, not only with HSC, but also with the other contractors on site. Although this is expected on each and every project, it rarely occurs with such success. All the hard work you and your field personnel contributed has paid off and for this we would like to thank you. HSC looks forward to working with you in the future.

“It is my pleasure to recommend Meco Constructors, Inc. I have been working with Meco since they were awarded the demolition of the former Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital by the State of New Jersey in the spring of 2014. This project was the demolition of over 90 buildings/structures totaling over 1.25 million square feet. It also included the demolition of over a mile of tunnels (10’ X 15’) and removal/decommissioning of all on-site utilities (gas, electric, water, wastewater and stormwater).

Meco has always been responsive to our needs, quality oriented and very professional in every aspect of their business. Their word has been their bond. They have had a zero accident rate on this project. Further, they are on schedule to complete the contract ahead of schedule and well within budget. We would recommend Meco without reservation.”
